Working Title: FROM DARK CLOUDS FALLING
Title based on quote by the 12th century poet, Nizami: “In the hour of adversity, be not without hope; for crystal rain falls from black clouds.”
Genre: Women’s Fiction
Working Synopsis:
Angie Evans is doing her best to avoid the grief that lurks at the edges of her bed. In the last six months she’s lost both her husband and son. And yet, Angie knows in her gut that her life will go on. This isn’t the end of her. With a nudge from her best friend, Angie dares to push past the borders of her home and her country.
When Angie meets Sean McCarthy at the table of Neill and Jeannie Connolly in Glengarriff, Ireland, she can’t imagine how intertwined their paths will become. In order for Sean to preserve the environment his family has fought to protect, he has to stop the Blackrock Property Management Group from their greedy ways. And in order for Angie to stay in Ireland and start her career as the director of the West Cork Young Children’s Chamber Orchestra, she has to make a deal with the devil of Glengarriff- Blackrock.
FROM DARK CLOUDS FALLING is a story of courage, resilience, hope, and in the end love. It’s about the renegotiations we make with life when the path shifts from under our feet.
